① Emozioni & Energia
A book about inner-ecology

In this pivotal moment in history, environmental concerns have taken center stage in our collective consciousness. The urgency to address our impact on the environment and the vital issue of energy consumption pervades both political discourse and economic strategies.

It's not only about saving our environment and preserving nature but also about fostering a shift in our attitudes towards ourselves and others. This shift is crucial for our own well-being and for building a more sustainable future.

Western society's rampant energy consumption not only depletes natural resources but also fuels internal conflicts and interpersonal tensions. By acknowledging our conditioning and embracing techniques aimed at energy recovery and enhancement, we can strive towards a more balanced and sustainable way of living.

This journey towards sustainability isn't just about reducing our ecological footprint; it's about redefining our relationship with nature and with ourselves. Through mindfulness and intentional living, we can pave the way for a brighter, more harmonious future.

WHAT’S THE CONCEPT BEHIND THE ARTWORKS?

CULTURE OF THE MIND
The man with the baloon head represents our western culture
A culture that’s all in the mind, not enough in the body.

One of the central ideas behind the book is the uneven distribution of energy within the body in our fast-paced western work culture.

The psychology movement of ‘Bioenergetics’ preaches: “When we rely too much on the mind, when our energy flows only in the higher parts of our body, we encounter crisis with burn out syndrome, and encounter disease with Alzheimer’s.

In order to balance the energetic centres in our body, we must let go of the mind, and surrender to the wisdom of the body. So that we can move from a state of self-worth linked to doing, to one linked to simply being.

② Emozionarsi fa bene.
A book about letting our emotions out.

"Look at him getting emotional!", "He's turning red! What a clumsy guy!". How many times have we encountered individuals ridiculing our emotions? Far too often, the act of expressing emotions has been unfairly equated with weakness and fragility. However, this book presents a different perspective.

The act of becoming emotional is, in fact, a clear indication of our connection to our authentic selves. Deliberately engaging with our emotions can only bring positive outcomes.

The author describes how suppressing emotions has led numerous adults towards toxic behaviors and psychological illnesses. Conversely, expressing emotions brings us closer to the same vitality, openness, and well-being we often observe in children. Therefore, it's imperative that we reconnect with our inner child and incorporate emotions into our adult lives, fostering a healthier, more genuine existence.

WHAT’S THE CONCEPT BEHIND THE ARTWORKS?

SHADES OF LIGHTNESS
"Emotion is a plasmatic expressive movement, from the center to the periphery." – Emozionarsi fa bene, page 21

The concepts within the book lead to the theme of the inner child, a force of purity and wisdom that cries out to be set free, thus restoring our innate and natural vitality. These figures are liberated, captured in the moment of leaping into an abyss of color. They represent children, adults, and elders who have chosen to launch themselves toward their inner liberation. The use of brushstrokes symbolizes the artistic act of protest, the ultimate expression of openness to one's true self.
